<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air permeability of a porous membrane from lowering because of water, oil or dusts existing on the porous membrane in a gas detector which sets the porous membrane horizontally at a gas inlet. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas detector which has an inlet 10 for introducing gas to be detected and detects the gas introduced from the inlet 10 by using a gas sensor 2, the inlet 10 is made up upward, and a water and oil repellent porous membrane 14 is horizontally set up on the upper edge of the inlet 10, and the outside of a circumferential end of the porous membrane 14 is made up so that liquid on the porous membrane 14 can be dropped outward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
