PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for enhancing the fixing strength of a pattern of a hardly visible color for following up information on a reproduction of a recording medium with a specified image while forming the pattern on the reproduction without degrading the image quality of the image of the recording medium. SOLUTION: In image formation with the image forming apparatus, a pattern for following up information on a reproduction is formed with a hardly visible yellow toner selected from a plurality of color toners used in the image forming apparatus. The yellow toner is set in such a way that, in a temperature range of the softening point of the toner and above, a storage modulus (G') of the toner is made lower than a storage modulus (G') of another color toner (a magenta toner or the like). Thus, the fixing strength of the pattern can be enhanced while forming the pattern without degrading the image quality of an image of a recording medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
