PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the quality of a dot when one dot is formed of a plurality of liquid drops using a head capable of deflecting the ejecting direction of liquid drop by reducing shift in the shooting position of a plurality of liquid drops forming one dot. SOLUTION: A head 11 juxtaposed with a plurality of liquid ejecting parts is provided and ejecting direction of a liquid drop from each liquid ejecting part is deflected such that it can shoot at the shooting position of a liquid drop being ejected from another adjacent liquid ejecting part when it is not deflected. When one dot is formed by shooting a plurality of liquid drops to overlap the shooting area at least partially, operation is controlled such that one of two dots adjacent in the direction perpendicular to the arranging direction of the liquid ejecting parts is formed of a plurality of liquid drops ejected from one liquid ejecting part an the other dot is formed of a plurality of liquid drops ejected from a different liquid ejecting part.
