PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor having low impedance characteristics and high withstand voltage characteristics of 100 V class as well as a good moisture resistance and good high-temperature life characteristics. SOLUTION: This electrolytic capacitor manufactured by impregnating an electrolytic solution into a capacitor element constituted by winding up two pieces of electrode foil with a separator in between uses carbonized paper carbonized by heating etc., as the separator and, at the same time, the electrolytic solution containing an aluminum tetrafluoride salt. Consequently, this capacitor has the low impedance characteristics and high withstand voltage characteristics as well as a good moisture-resistant characteristics and the high-temperature life characteristics.
