PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process an image of an inspected object such as an outer circumferential face of a cylindrical body, in a short time, and to accurately measure an angular position. SOLUTION: A reflecting plate 3 is arranged in a periphery of the inspected object 1 laid on a palette 9 and arranged with a terminal group 2. A wide angle lens 4 is provided in a TV camera 5, and the inspected object 1 is imaged under illumination by a ring-like lighting system 6. Since the inspected object is imaged by the wide angle lens 4, the terminal group 2 is imaged radially developed, and the angular position to be detected is accurately grasped and processed.
