PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile and its mounting structure capable of suppressing the manufacturing cost and draining the water having intruded inside the mounting base part easily outside the automobile body. SOLUTION: The ends of an extruded molding 14 consisting of the mounting base part 22 having approximately a U-section and a seal part protruded from the mounting base part 22 are connected together through a die molded part, and flange holding lips 24 are installed on the inner side faces 22a and 22b of the mounting base part 22, and the die molded part 12 is formed in the condition that the flange holding lip 24a situated outside the automobile body O and on the side with the end in the longitudinal direction of the extruded molding 14 is fallen to the side U mating with under the body and overlapped on the inner side face 22a of the mounting base part 22 of the molding 14, and a projection 70 is formed on the inner side face 22a on the side facing the outside of the automobile body among the inner side faces 22a and 22b of the mounting base part 22 installed on the die molded part 12 so that the section assumes a U-shape approximately.
