PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for working a ceramic green sheet by which its releasability from a carrier film after cutting is enhanced and the successful conveyability of the carrier film can be ensured. SOLUTION: The method for working this ceramic green sheet comprises the following steps: the carrier film 1 with the ceramic green sheet 2 formed to a specified thickness on the surface is conveyed onto a cutting table 10 and sucked/retained there; a cutting edge 21 is lowered to cut the sheet 2 to a specified shape; and the cut sheet 2' is sucked/retained using a suction cup 22 and released from the carrier film 1. In addition, an underlay sheet 12 formed of an air-permeable elastic material is arranged on the table face of the cutting table 10, then the carrier film 1 is conveyed over the underlay sheet 12 and the sheet 2 is cut while the carrier film 1 is sucked/retained through the underlay sheet 12.
