It is intended to provide an agent for foods, drinks or medical uses which contains amino acid(s) elevating body temperature, characterized by containing tyrosine alone as the amino acid serving as the active ingredients or nothing but 4 amino acids including tyrosine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid and alanine as the amino acids serving as the active ingredients. The above agent is developed by confirming that tyrosine has an effect of elevating body temperature. By administering this agent, body temperature can be elevated and, in its turn, metabolic actions are promoted. As a result, body fat is burnt, thereby achieving effects of reducing accumulated body fat and relieving hypersensitivity to cold temperatures.
