A substrate for a medical bandaging material is a warp knitted fabric in whi ch the chain stitches are constructed from fiberglass yarns and the inlay stitc h is constructed from an inelastic low modulus polymeric yarn, such that frayi ng and unraveling of a cut edge of the substrate is prevented. The medical bandaging product includes the substrate impregnated or coated with a moistu re- curable resin and optionally covered with a tubular hydrophobic wrapping. Th e bandaging product is stored in a moisture-proof container before use.</SDOAB >
