Torque ripple compensation method in pulse width modulated machine, involves damping transient disturbances using fixed feedback controller and rejecting steady disturbances using adaptive controller

Damping is provided to transient disturbances using the fixed feedback controller. The steady disturbances are rejected using an adaptive controller. The coefficients of adaptive filter (28) are determined and adjusted using specific algorithm, to minimize the system output. An Independent claim is also included for control system for torque ripple compensation.
