The radial fan (2) has an axial fan drive for rotation of a fan wheel contained in a housing provided with an axial air entry opening (10) fitted with a protection grid (20) and a radial air exit opening. The housing is divided into a dished part (14) and a planar part (16) to which the fan drive with the fan wheel are attached, its upper corners having locating and retaining elements and its bottom corners having fixing holes (6).
