Holding device for a door- or cover sealing element of a cooling- or freezing unit, where the doors or covers have inner and outer doors, especially where the space between the inner and outer doors is filled with foam useful for refrigerators. Independent claims are included for: (1) elongated sealing strips for the doors or cover; (2) a cooling or freezing unit with a foamed intermediate space between the outer and inner doors.
