PURPOSE: A drum brake is provided to prevent deformation of a back plate, and to restrict concentration of force on the specific portion by dispersing force from brake shoes with forming a distributing plate in an anchor block. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake is composed of a back plate(20) combined with a vehicle body; a drum rotating with a wheel; brake shoes(30a,30b) formed in the back plate for braking by friction with the inside of the drum; a settling part(21) protruded in the back plate; an anchor block(50) installed in the settling part to support the ends of brake shoes; and a distributing plate(53) preventing concentration of force on the settling part by distributing force from the brake shoes. The anchor block has a support member(52) supporting the brake shoes, a guide member(51) preventing displacement of the brake shoes, and a distributing member extended from both ends of the supporting member to surround the settling part. Deformation of the settling part is prevented with installing the distributing plate in the anchor block.
