Camera with records positional data of GPS unit

A camera which records positional data, which is obtained by a GPS unit (160) during photographing, and image data on a memory card (150). The camera receives the positional data representing the photographing place from the GPS unit (160), and records the positional data and the image data on the memory card (150). While a printer (254, 256) is printing an image represented by the image data, the positional data is prohibited from being received from the GPS unit (160) and thus the radio disturbance, etc. in the GPS unit (160) would not have any effects on printing.
