INDEPENDENT RADIO LAN HAVING RAN IP GATEWAY FOR ENABLING ACCESS TO PUBLIC INTERNET AS WELL AS MOBILITY MANAGEMENT

PURPOSE: An independent RLAN(Radio LAN) having an RAN(Radio Access Network) IP gateway is provided to include an RAN IP gateway for enabling access to a public Internet as well as mobility management, and to be combined with a UMTS used with a common core network or provided as an independent system, thereby tracking and realizing an AAA function in the core network. CONSTITUTION: At least one base station has a transceiver consisting of an 'Uu' interface, to perform TDD W-CDMA radio communication with a UE(User Equipment) within a selected area. At least one RNC(Radio Network Controller) is connected to a base station group including at least the one base station, and controls communication of the base station group. An RAN IP gateway has a gateway GGSN having an access router function and an SGSN connected to at least the one RNC.
