The combustion chamber sub-assembly for a heating appliance comprises a housing (12) with a fuel distribution element (24) covering the housing wall on the side facing the combustion chamber and which together with the housing wall (18) defines a fuel distribution passage arrangement (26). A number of fuel delivery holes (30) are constructed in the fuel distribution element to direct fuel from the distribution passage arrangement in the direction of the combustion chamber. An Independent claim is included for a heating appliance in a motor vehicle and which includes the aforesaid combustion chamber sub-assembly.
