Ethylene-alpha-olefin polymers, processes and uses

A cracked liquid copolymer of ethylene and an olefin, said copolymer being characterized by: (a) mol% of ethylene from 10 to 75 %; (b) number average molecular weight of <2000; (c) molecular weight distribution of <2; (d) random monomer distribution; and (e) a head-to-tail molecular structure; a process for the production of cracked copolymer; a hydrogenated cracked copolymer; and a lubricant oil comprising a cracked liquid copolymer of ethylene and an olefin or a hydrogenated cracked copolymer as the base oil and an effective amount of at least one oil additive.
