<p>A phase change ink carrier composition comprising an organoleptic maskant. Preferably the phase change ink carrier composition comprises: a) a urethane resin that is the reaction product of at least one alcohol and an isocyanate, the at least one alcohol being a monohydric aliphatic alcohol, a monohydric aromatic alcohol, a monohydric aliphatic/aromatic alcohol, a monohydric fused ring alcohol, a polyol or mixtures thereof; and/or a mixed urethane/urea resin that is the reaction product of at least one alcohol, an isocyanate, and at least one monoamine; and b) a mono-amide. The organoleptic maskant is preferably a fragrance and/or an ester, a lactone, an aldehyde, a ketone, an alcohol, an ether, an acetal, a ketal, a heterocycle, a composition having cumulated double bonds including pheromones, an acetylene, an amine or a mixture thereof.</p> |
