Electronic flat unit for recording and play back of musical characters, notes, text and symbols on a viewable figure sheet (1), whereby operation of a switch (4), manually or by remote control, controls movement through the sheets. The unit can be configured with one or two sides. A keypad (2) is provided from input of figures, characters, etc. Notes and text are input using a computer, tape, CD, diskette, etc.
