The steering arrangement has an electric steering booster, a steering wheel (2) on a steering spindle (5), a torque sensor (3) for detecting the force applied to the steering wheel by the driver and an electric motor (10) driving the spindle. The spindle is divided and has a drive shaft (4) carrying the steering wheel and a shaft (6) driven by the motor. The shafts are kinematically connected by a controlled coupling device (15).
