Process for jacketing battery plates, especially lead plates for industrial batteries, comprises placing a second layer of fiber fleece and a plastic film around the battery plate which already has a first layer of fiber fleece. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the process comprising a station (B) for applying the first fiber fleece layer (12) around the battery plate and a station (C) equipped with a folding unit for placing the second fiber fleece layer (24) together with the plastic film (28) around the battery plate. |
