PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable toner discharged from a carrier cleaning device to be transported to the waste toner container in accordance with the desire of users, in the case of transferring a toner image formed on a photoreceptor to transfer paper, removing the toner stuck on the photoreceptor by the carrier cleaning device after the transfer thereof, transporting the removed toner to the developing device by first toner transporting means, removing the toner stuck on a transfer belt for transporting the transfer paper by the belt cleaning device, and transporting the toner to the waste toner container by the second toner transporting means. SOLUTION: A first toner transporting means 44 is communicated with a second toner transporting means 45 through openings 51 and 50. At the time of transporting the toner from the cleaning device to the waste toner container, the operation of the first toner transporting means 44, is stopped, thereby shifting the toner into the second toner transporting means 45. |
