<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the communication equipment by which its transmission characteristic is automatically adjusted and trouble associated with installation and maintenance is greatly reduced. SOLUTION: A communication link is formed between a 1st NCU 8 and a 2nd NCU 10 via a subscriber telephone network NT, and plural varieties of test signals with different frequencies are sequentially sent from either adjustment object NCU being the 1st NCU 8 or the 2nd NCU 10. The transmission characteristic of the adjustment object NCU is measured for each test signal so that the test signal sent from the adjustment object NCU is normally received by the non-adjustment NCU being the 1st NCU 8 or the 2nd NCU 10. Based on the measurement result, the transmission characteristic of the adjustment object NCU is properly set.</p> |
