APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CALL OF CALLBACK FUNCTION-APPLIED WIRELESS LAN COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a call of callback function-applied wireless LAN communication are provided to enable a user terminal itself to attempt a call to a target terminal if the target terminal is changed to keep alive mode. CONSTITUTION: A terminal 1(T1) or a terminal n(Tn) periodically transmits a signal with respect to a call available state(keep alive) to a wireless LAN exchange(10), and the wireless LAN exchange(10) stores the state information of a responded terminal and updates off-list information on terminals that have not been responded. When a user attempts a call to a target terminal but a phone number of the target terminal is on the off-list, the user cannot be connected for a call and may request a callback service or abandon the call. If the user requests the callback service, the call is automatically attempted to the target terminal at a point when the target terminal is changed to a call available state.
