PURPOSE: A shock absorbing structure of a hood hinge is provided to reduce the shock amount to a pedestrian by absorbing the shock energy through the hood hinge when the pedestrian clashes against the installed position of the hood hinge by falling toward a hood of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A hinge bracket(20) is fixed in a cowl panel(12) through a bolt(30) to locate in the rear upper part of an engine room. A supporting member(21) is protruded from the hinge bracket upward. A hinge arm(22) is combined with the hinge bracket through a hinge(25) to open a hold(10) by rotating. A hinge guide(24) is installed in the other upper end of the hinge bracket to guide the rotation of the hinge arm. A guide long slot(23) is formed in the hinge arm to guide the upper part of the hinge guide.
