PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect high-strength laser beam shaping by structuring a light splitting part to be capable of splitting into an emitting laser beam that is incident on the light splitting part, polarized and emitted from it and a passing laser beam that passes through an opening part. SOLUTION: A laser beam incident on the opening part 2 of a laser beam shaping mask 1 is shaped into the shape of the opening part 2 and passed as it is through the opening part 2. Meantime, a laser beam 5 incident on the splitting part 3 of the shaping mask 1 is refracted on the incident plane 3a of the light splitting part, entered like a refractive medium of the shaping mask 1, then refracted on the emitting plane 3b of the light splitting part and emitted outside the shaping mask 1. Consequently, an emitting laser beam 5a noncontributory to laser machining is refracted and easily emitted outside, preventing the thermal destruction of the shaping mask 1 and enabling high- strength laser beam shaping. |
