PURPOSE: A starting control device of an LPI(Liquefied Petroleum Injection) engine and a method thereof are provided to improve the quality of the LPI engine by starting promptly like a gasoline engine with preventing starting delay. CONSTITUTION: A starting control device of an LPI engine comprises a key switch(110) detecting switching of the ignition key of the LPI engine; an engine control unit(120) outputting the fuel supply control signal to improve starting of the LPI engine by analyzing the signals from the key switch; a sub fuel supply unit(130) supplying fuel to the injector according to the sub fuel supply control signal from the engine control unit; and a main fuel supply unit(140) supplying fuel to the injector corresponding to the main fuel supply control signal from the engine control unit with forming the fuel supply line separately from the sub fuel supply unit.
