PURPOSE: A power transmitting device of an oil pump is provided to improve the fuel efficiency of an engine by reducing the rpm and pumping drive power of the oil pump by controlling rotary power transmitted to the oil pump even if the engine is operated at high speed and to reduce drive noise by decreasing load applied to a gear of the oil pump. CONSTITUTION: In an oil pump including a drive gear(2) for receiving power from a crankshaft and a rotary shaft(3) for receiving rotary power of the drive gear, a power transmitting device of the oil pump comprises an operating pressure generating device(10) installed to the rotary shaft to change hydraulic pressure supplied to a power control device(20) to the rotational speed of the rotary shaft and the power control device for controlling the transmission ratio of the rotary power transmitted from the drive gear to the rotary shaft to the hydraulic pressure supplied from the operating pressure generating device. The operating pressure generating device comprises a rotary plate(11) formed on the outer periphery of the rotary shaft and composed of an operating chamber for storing the constant amount of fluid; a first spring(14) mounted to the outside of the operating chamber; and a weight piston(13) disposed in the operating chamber to supply the fluid stored in the operating chamber to the power control device with moving in and out the operating chamber by centrifugal force in rotating the rotary shaft.
