PURPOSE: Provided is a water softener having an automatic regenerating time notifying function which is able to maximize the efficiency of the water softener by accurately and rapidly displaying the regeneration time on a display screen, a regeneration time notifying lamp and a regeneration time notifying buzzer. CONSTITUTION: In a common water softener where a regeneration case(60) is connected to a soft water case(50), where the raw water supplied from a cock(10) is flown in through a flux sensor(40), to put salt water therein when ion exchange resin is regenerated, the water softener comprises a display screen for displaying the water softening capacity of the ion exchange resin filled up with the soft water case according to the passing amount of the raw water metered by the flow meter, a regeneration time notifying lamp and a regeneration time notifying buzzer for displaying the regeneration time of the ion exchange resin visually and auditorily, a plurality of operating buttons performing each soft water supply, raw water supply, stop and regeneration operation according to a pushing motion and a hardness setting-up part which controls the flow meter according to the hardness of the raw water to adjust the regeneration time o the ion exchange resin.
