PURPOSE: A system for compressing a high-quality image in real time is provided to reconfigure an OS(Operating System) and an application of an existing PC by using one image compression-only settop box without a sub processor, thereby increasing image compression efficiency. CONSTITUTION: While an image compression-only software(11) having a GUI system is installed in a user computer(1) as an image-only program, an image input apparatus(2) is connected to the user computer(1) having the image compression-only software(11) by an image input terminal(4). A real-time image compression device(3) is connected to the user computer(1) having the image compression-only software(11) by a USB(Universal Serial Bus) port(5). One image compression-only settop box(100) organically integrates a series of the comprised units(1,2,11). |
