PURPOSE: A device for processing VP(Virtual Path)/VC(Virtual Channel) data in a mobile communication system and a method therefor are provided to delete VP/VC information only without resetting a board when an NCP(Network Control Processor) deletes the VP/VC, thereby reducing a returning time to a normal state and improving communication service quality. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication system stores all VP/VC values of a CAM(Content Addressable Memory) in a database(ST21). An NCP generates a command for deleting all the assigned VP/VC values, and transmits the generated command to the CAM(ST22-ST24). When the VP/VC deletion command is transmitted, VP/VC information stored in the CAM is deleted by using the VP/VC values of the database(ST25). |
