PURPOSE: An actuator for an optical pickup is provided to make a mass center and a force center of a bobbin forming the actuator united with each other, increase the strength of the bobbin, and minimize the magnetic force loss of a focusing coil used in the actuator. CONSTITUTION: A yoke plate(30) is equipped with the first and the second yokes(31,32) that make magnets(34,35) spaced apart from each other. The bobbin(50) includes a penetrating hole, and an objective lens(52) collecting the light output from a light source to a disc. A tracking coil(62) and the focusing coil(60) are installed by connecting both sides of the penetrating hole in order to be placed between the magnets of the first and the second. The tacking coil and the focusing coil make the focusing and tracking movement of the bobbin in a magnetic circuit formed by the magnets.
