PURPOSE: An opening and closing detecting device of a hood for a vehicle is provided to improve the appearance by omitting the hood switch protruded in the upper part of the carrier, to install easily regardless of position by detecting opening and closing of the hood without contact and to reduce the weight of a vehicle body by making the carrier using plastic. CONSTITUTION: An opening and closing detecting device of a hood(70) is composed of an alarm unit(50) alarming opening and closing of the hood to a driver; a conductor element(61) installed in a carrier(60) of the vehicle to control power applied to the alarm unit according to opening and closing of the hood; and a magnetic element(72) installed in an inner panel(71) of the hood corresponding to the conductor element to turn on and off the conductor element by generating magnetic force. The conductor element is turned on and off according to distance from the magnetic element. The driver checks opening and closing of the hood by blinking the hood warning lamp in opening and closing the hood.
