PURPOSE: A froth removing method of a drum type washing machine is provided to prevent detergent from remaining in the laundry when dehydrating stroke is finished by supplying water in remaining froth and operating an additional rinsing operation when concentration of detergent is over specific value. CONSTITUTION: A froth removing method of a drum type washing machine includes following steps. A dehydrating stroke is operated after draining washing water(S21). Whether frequency of a water level increases or not is checked by sensing frequency of the water level during the dehydrating stroke(S22). Washing water is supplied into a washing tub when frequency of the water level increases after stopping the dehydrating stroke(S24,S25). Concentration of detergent is sensed after supplying washing water(S27). An additional rinsing stroke is operated when concentration of detergent is over specific value(S28,S29). Thereby, energy to remove froth is reduced because repetitive operations of supplying and draining water are not necessary. |
