PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method are provided to achieve a uniform coating of a coil by depositing an adhesive to a wire such that the wound wires are adhered with each other. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a coil winding unit(310) wound with a wire(302a); and an adhesive supply unit(306) for depositing an adhesive(308) to the wire being wound on the coil winding unit. The adhesive is an insulating material or a varnish. A method for manufacturing a coil comprises a step of depositing an adhesive to a wire and winding the wire into a coil; and a step of drying the wound coil upon completion of deposition of adhesive.
