OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND A FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF, ESPECIALLY CONCERNED WITH USING PIGMENTS AT A RECORDING LAYER

PURPOSE: An optical recording medium and a fabrication method thereof are provided to fabricate an optical recording medium having a low noise level and a good recording/reproducing feature, and to realize a small recording feature difference between an inner side and an outer side. CONSTITUTION: A rotative speed of a substrate to a discharge end from a discharge start of a pigment solution is more than 400rpm. The pigment solution is discharged and applied by a spin coating method on the substrate, and is dried to form a pigment recording layer. Through a sequence proceeding to a drying completion from the discharge start of the pigment solution, the substrate is in low-speed mode than the rotative speed during the discharge end or the discharge start of the pigment solution.
