PURPOSE: Provided is an anti-corrosive aqueous epoxy primer, which contains no chrome(VI), is efficient for preventing attacks on metal alloys for structures, and is effective for overall corrosion as well as pitting corrosion. CONSTITUTION: The aqueous anti-corrosive epoxy primer comprises an aqueous epoxy, a curing agent and a non-chromate anti-corrosive pigment. Particularly, the aqueous epoxy comprises an aqueous non-volatile dispersion of diglycidyl ether bisphenol A-modified epoxy having a weight per epoxide of between 450 and 700 and a viscosity of 12000-19000 cps. The dispersion is based on a multi-functional resin dispersion having a medium molecular weight, which forms a high-crosslinking density polymer provided with excellent hardness and resistance to curing.
