PURPOSE: Provided is a photosensitive polymer liquid crystal alignment agent composition, which has improved photochemical and thermal stabilities, and excellent mechanical and electro-optical properties, alignment performance to liquid crystals and processability. CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive polymer liquid crystal alignment agent composition comprises poly(amide-urea) copolymer using a triazine ring as a backbone and having at least one pendant photoactive group, wherein the copolymer is represented by formula 1 in which R1-R5 are specific organic groups, when R2, R4 and R5 are connected by an amide bond, and R3, R4 and R5 are connected by an ester bond; and m is 0 to 1, n is 0 to 1 when m+n=1. Particularly, the photoactive group is based on cinnamate, coumarin, calcone or maleimide. A photosensitive polymer liquid crystal alignment layer is obtained by the method comprising the steps of: dissolving the composition into an organic solvent; coating the solution on a substrate to form an alignment layer; and irradiating the surface of the alignment layer with polarized or non-polarized UV. |
