SEAL PASTE COMPOSITION FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND SEALING METHOD USING THE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A seal paste composition for a plasma display panel and a method for sealing a plasma display panel by using the composition are provided, to reduce a sintering temperature profile, to suppress the generation of bubbles on the internal surface of sealing layers and to improve a sealing property by employing nitrocellulose. CONSTITUTION: The seal paste composition comprises 70-95 wt% of frit; 0.1-3 wt% of at least one kind of nitrocellulose binder; and the balance of a solvent dissolving the nitrocellulose binder. Preferably the frit contains at least one metal oxide selected from the group consisting of PbO, B2O3 and TiO2; and the solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of butyl carbitol acetate, butyl carbitol, 3-methoxy-3-methyl butanol, terpineol and menthanol.
