PURPOSE: A washing machine and a water supply control method thereof are provided to take such actions as display of warning and warning water supply by automatic temperature control when a cold/warm water valve is connected oppositely. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine has a cold/warm water valve(204). The washing machine comprises a key input part(201) for inputting a user's demand command; a temperature-sensing part(202) sensing the temperature of washing water according to the progress of a washing stroke if a washing command is input through the key input part; a microcomputer(203) making water supplied for predetermined time by simultaneously turning on the cold/warm water valve if the washing command is input through the key input part, sensing the connected state of the cold/warm water valve according to the temperature of the washing water input through the temperature-sensing part, and outputting a corresponding control signal to control display of warning or water supply; and a display part(205) displaying a warning message to let a user know abnormality of the connected state of the cold/warm water valve according to the control signal of the microcomputer. |
