PURPOSE: An electromagnetic drive valve control unit and an electromagnetic drive valve control method of an internal combustion engine are provided to enable proper distribution of the processing capacity of operation-processing units, to effectively control the electromagnetic drive valve while suppressing the number of the operation-processing units, and to reduce an operating noise. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic drive valve control unit(50) of an internal combustion engine comprises electromagnetic drive valves driving at least one of suction valves(In1¯In16) and exhaust valves(Ex1¯Ex16) each installed to each cylinder(CL1¯CL8) by electromagnetic force. The electromagnetic drive valve control unit has a controller in which operation-processing units are installed. The operation-processing units control each electromagnetic drive valve in plural valve groups divided by combination of electromagnetic drive valves the valve opening time of which is not repeated, in low-rotation and low-load operation of the internal combustion engine.
