PURPOSE: A panel for CRT is provided to reduce a visual inconvenience of user by ensuring brightness and uniformity of screen. CONSTITUTION: A CRT comprises a front glass panel having a flat type outer surface and an inner surface having a predetermined curvature, a phosphor screen formed on the inner surface of the panel, a shadow mask spaced apart from the phosphor screen for sorting color, an electron gun mounted on a neck part of a funnel and a deflection yoke for deflecting vertically and horizontally electron beams emitted from the electron gun. The transmissivity of the center portion of the panel is lower than 75%, the transmissivity of an edge portion in contradiction to the transmissivity of the center portion is more than 59%, and any point P(x,y,z) on the outer surface meets the following expression; 20,000mm<=(((root(x¬2+y¬2))¬2+z¬2)/2xz)<=25,000.
