PURPOSE: A water supply method of a drum washing machine is provided to optimize the washing efficiency by sufficiently supplying washing water according to the kind and the amount of the laundry. CONSTITUTION: Washing water is supplied to a washing water level. The reduction of an initial resupply water level is checked by absorbing the washing water to the laundry. In reducing the washing water to the initial resupply water level, the excess of a certain time is checked. In exceeding the certain time, washing water is supplied again after controlling a resupply water level by comparing a resupply frequency and a preset value. Thereby, the washing efficiency is optimized.
