PURPOSE: A synchronizer for a manual transmission is provided to prevent breakage of parts and noise, and to improve abrasion resistance and durability by buffering shock between a key groove and a synchronizer block in bumping the synchronizer block into the key groove from speed difference between the hub gear and the synchronizer ring with inserting elastic members at both sides of the key groove. CONSTITUTION: The synchronizer of a manual transmission comprises a hub gear(56) spline-combined with a main shaft; a synchronizer key(70) inserted to a key groove(54) formed in the outer periphery of the hub gear; a synchronizer ring(68) arranged at both sides of the hub gear and integrally rotated with the hub gear by inserting a synchronizer block(66) into the key groove; and a buffer unit mounted in the insertion groove(72) formed at both sides of the key groove to buffer impact between the key groove and the synchronizer block. Elastic members(74) are arranged at both sides of the synchronizer key.
