PURPOSE: Provided is a wastewater treatment method which is capable of nature-friendly removing nitrogen and phosphorous, and reducing installment cost, operation and management cost. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of agitating wastewater, in which sand and suspended solid are removed, in an anaerobic mixing tank(2), denitrifying the outflow of the anaerobic mixing tank(2) in an anaerobic contact reactor(3), an intermittently aerating the outflow of the anaerobic contact reactor(3) in a first intermittent aeration tank(4), so the wastewater is alternatively exposed to anaerobic condition and aerobic condition, thereby inducing phosphorous luxury uptake and nitrification, decomposing organic material contained in the outflow of the first intermittent aeration tank(4) in an aeration contact reactor(5), solid-liquid separating the outflow of the aeration contact reactor(5) in a sedimentation tank(6), intermittently aerating the decant water discharged from the sedimentation tank(6) in a second intermittent aeration tank(7), transferring the outflow of the second intermittent aeration tank(7) to an air stripping tank(8) for reducing dissolved oxygen in the treated water, and discharging the decant water of the air stripping tank(8).
