PURPOSE: A pumping voltage generator is provided to reduce power consumption and to prevent noise by generating a proper pumping voltage(Vpp) appropriate for pumping voltage consumption. CONSTITUTION: A detector(10) detects a plurality of pumping voltage levels, and outputs a plurality of enable signals according to the detection result per each level. A period determination part(11) outputs a signal determining an oscillation period of a pumping voltage by the enable signal being output from the detector. An oscillator(12) outputs a signal determining a pumping period which makes the pumping voltage by using a signal of determining the oscillation period. A control driver part(13) outputs a signal controlling the pumping by the signal of determining the pumping period. And a pumping part(14) pumps a voltage by a pumping control signal being output from the control driver part.
