PURPOSE: Algorithm for soaking the laundry in a washing machine is provided to improve washing efficiency by washing after soaking the laundry evenly, and to prevent damage of the laundry by absorbing the detergent evenly in the laundry in injecting the detergent while supplying water. CONSTITUTION: The amount of dry clothes is detected in starting washing(S11), and the water level is set corresponding to the detected laundry amount(S12). A pulsator rotates at the first predetermined speed for rotating the pulsator slowly while supplying water(S13,S14). The end of supplying water is detected(S15), and washing is performed corresponding to the predetermined course in finishing supplying water(S16). The entire courses are finished in finishing washing(S17). The laundry absorbs water evenly and sufficiently in the washing tub when the pulsator rotates. Damage of clothes is prevented by restricting the detergent from being concentrated on the part of the laundry.
