PURPOSE: A method for confirming the close adherence of a workpiece section for an NC lathe is provided to detect the adherence degree of the workpiece as the load of hydraulic motor and servomotor so as to improve the safety and convenience of workers. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid opens/closes a delivery path so as to confirm the close adherence of a sub-chuck with a workpiece section during the operation of a servomotor(S1000). The degree of the close adherence of the sub-chuck with the workpiece section is firstly identified with respect to the load amount of the servomotor(S2000). The degree of the close adherence of the sub-chuck with the workpiece section is secondly identified with respect to the delivery pressure from an air nozzle connected to the solenoid(S3000). The load amount of the servomotor and the delivery pressure from the air nozzle are compared with respect to the reference load amount and hydraulic pressure, respectively. When the load amount of the servomotor and the delivery pressure from the air nozzle are more than the reference load amount and hydraulic pressure, the workpiece in a main chuck is clamped onto the sub-chuck. When the delivery pressure from the air nozzle is less than the reference hydraulic pressure, an alarm is operated.
