PURPOSE: A control apparatus of a washing machine is provided to arrange an operating button freely for a switch by using a lever device turned on and off according to push of the operating button and to reduce size of a display board. CONSTITUTION: A control apparatus of a washing machine includes a control panel, a display panel(56), a display board(60) and a lever device(62a). The control panel is installed to a side of the washing machine. The display panel is mounted to the control panel. An operating button(54a) of the display panel is to be pushed. The display board is arranged to a rear portion of the display panel. A displaying component is introduced to the display board to display an operating condition of a switch(58a) and the washing machine. The lever device is placed between the display board and the display panel to turn on and off a corresponding switch when the operating button installed to other positions other than a front portion of the display board is pushed. Thereby, arrangement of the operating button is free for the switch. Size of the display board is reduced by optimizing the switch to the display board.
