OBJECTIVE LENS SYSTEM AND OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE

PURPOSE: An objective lens system and an optical pickup device are provided to miniaturize an optical pickup while restricting an influence of a wavelength variation for a blue laser beam irradiated to an optical disc by using an optical product of a practical size. CONSTITUTION: A beam splitter(1) outputs an incident beam to the optical disc by changing an advancing direction perpendicularly, and includes a hologram at one surface. The objective lens system is equipped with a solid lens(2) in front of an incident surface of the beam splitter. The beam splitter is a prism having the incident surface, a reflecting surface, and an output surface. The hologram is formed at the output surface of the prism.
